Letsoaka explains Celtic move

Cape Town - Newly appointed Bloemfontein Celtic coach Serame Letsoaka says he was contacted by the club shortly after his resignation letter was posted on social media by Golden Arrows.

The experienced campaigner was announced as Clinton Larsen's replacement at Celtic shortly after his surprise resignation was revealed by Arrows.

While Celtic had several other applicants for the vacant post, they felt that Letsoaka was the perfect man to lead Phunya Sele Sele.

Looking back on the series of events that lead to his appointment, Letsoaka told Sowetan Live: "I am quite excited.

"It has been an aspiration to coach one of the top five teams in the country.

"It has happened so quickly after the letter that was put on social media. While Celtic were looking through the CVs of the coaches, they called me to find out if it was true. I confirmed that it's true.

"I was here 15 years ago and the previous owner, Jimmy Augousti, always said he wants to see me coaching this team one day. It has always been in my mind and it's an honour to be here."

Letsoaka's first test as Celtic boss will be a Premiership clash with Chippa United in Port Elizabeth on December 18.
