Leopards, Cosmos draw in ABSA Premiership play-off encounter

Cape Town - Black Leopards missed a brilliant opportunity to make it two wins out of two in the ABSA Premiership promotion/relegation play-offs when a late Jomo Cosmos goal saw the two sides draw 2-2 on Sunday.

It was Leopards who struck first during the encounter with Mwape Musonda scoring in the 12th minute for a 1-0 lead.

A mistake by goalkeeper Rotshidzwa Muleka let Cosmos back into the match just four minutes later as he could not control Ismail Mgunda's soft shot and saw the ball trickle into his goal to level the scores at 1-all and stayed that way till half-time.

In the second half it was Musonda who again gave Leopards the lead in the 58th minute only for his side to concede an equaliser thanks to the head of Thato Lingwati with the match ended soon after.

Leopards still head the table and remain in pole position to be promoted at this point.
