Cape Town - Black Leopards halted a five-match winless run in the Absa Premiership as they edged Limpopo rivals Baroka 1-0 at Thohoyandou Stadium on Wednesday.
Leopards came into the match on the back of three successive defeats, while Baroka also made a disappointing start to the season to sit in the bottom-half of the table.
The visitors put early pressure on Lidoda Duvha, with Collins Makgaka causing all sorts of problems on the right flank, but his dangerous deliveries were not being capitalised on by the attackers.
Lidoda Duvha were happy to sit back and hit them on the counter, although it the tactic wasn't paying much dividends.
The hosts managed to get a foothold in the match as the first half drew to a close, but the half-time whistle sounded without a clear-cuit chance at either end.
The pattern continued much in the same vein after the restart with goalscoring opportunities at a real premium again.
Another goalless stalemate seemed to beckon, but Phathutshedzo Nange left the visiting defence exposed in the 77th minute to break the deadlock.
Wedson Nyirenda's troops threw numbers forward in the closing stages as they went in search of an equaliser, although Lidoda Duvha held firm at the back to claim their second win of the season.
