Leopards can return to 'slaughterhouse'

Cape Town - The Premier Soccer League (PSL) official Ronnie Schloss says Black Leopards' home ground of Thohoyandou Stadium is now ready to host matches after safety improvements.

Leopards have been unable to play their matches at what the club have dubbed the 'slaughterhouse' due to unsafe conditions within the venue.

However, after making a number of necessary changes, Lidoda Duvha are now free to return to their home to play games in the Absa Premiership in 2018/19.

The outfit from Limpopo had previously been playing at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, but now can return to their preferred ground once they register Thohoyandou as the location.

Leopards next fixture is against Bloemfontein Celtic on Sunday, September 16

"Ja, it happened on Friday afternoon (PSL approval to use Thohoyandou Stadium)," Schloss said as quoted by KickOff website.

"Yes, they might play their next game there, but then they need to apply for their remaining games of the season.

"What was not okay was the safety aspect, the safety aspects never complied. The entry points, the exit points, and also there weren't enough toilets.

"The pitch needed attention, and a few other things with regard to the lighting etcetera."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
