Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Lebese believes the newly assembled Amakhosi team will prove their doubters wrong in the upcoming season.

Amakhosi will be looking to make an improvement on last season's showing when the PSL commences in August.

The former Premiership champions have made 10 new signings after 20 players were either released or transfer-listed.

"The new players have come in very well, they've worked very hard and we got to introduce them to our style of play, which is also new to us," Lebese told KickOff.

"We're looking to play in a certain way that is going to be exciting and help to win games for us. At the moment we're about 80 percent settled, and on Saturday we'll see how far we've come. But I think we've touched up on everything, and we're ready for the start of the new season.

"It's still the same old team with the same coach, and it's just different tactics and a different approach so we're looking forward to winning more games than we did last season.

"Obviously, it's a secret for now but we've changed quite a lot. The way we want to play and certain tactics have changed from last season, and we just want to surprise our opponents."

Lebese will be in action for Chiefs against Orlando Pirates in the Carling Black Label Cup at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.
