Cape Town - A late goal for Baroka saw them play to a 1-1 draw against Highlands Park in a Premiership encounter at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday night.
Baroka started positively and after some swift interplay between Ananias Gebhardt and Collins Makgaka, it resulted in them feeding in Richard Matloga into space inside the box, but he shot over from 14 yards out.
The game then went into something of a barren period during which the two clubs squandered possession with poor passing in the final third.
Highlands Park had the next real strike on target when Petrus Ngebo met a cross from Mothobi Mvala, but saw his effort from just inside the penalty area go over the crossbar.
Neither side could find an opener before the interval and entered the half-time break deadlocked at 0-0.
Bakgaga were the better team at the beginning of the second stanza and came close to scoring just after the hour mark when Richard Matloga broke through on the target, but he was brilliantly denied in a one-on-one situation with Tapuwa Kapini.
In the 75th minute, the visitors took the lead after some clinical passing saw substitute Thabo Motlafi in space inside the box, and he finished with precision.
The hosts hurled players forward in the final 10 minutes and were rewarded for their efforts with an equaliser in the 90th minute courtesy of a neat finish from Ranga Chivaviro.
