Larsen: There's room for improvement

Cape Town - Despite needing just a point to clinch a top-eight finish this season, Golden Arrows coach Clinton Larsen insists his team can not afford to let up.

Abafana bes'thende are sitting comfortably in ninth place with 37 points from 28 matches thus far, just one point behind eighth-placed SuperSport United.

They host relegation threatened Jomo Cosmos at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Wednesday night, before travelling to bottom-of-the-table University of Pretoria on the final day of the campaign.

"We'll never be happy with where we are because there's always room for improvement," said Larsen.

"We're facing two bottom of the log teams in Cosmos and Tuks and they're fighting for their lives,"

"Those are going to be very difficult games for us but getting maximum points from those two games will give us the best chance of finishing in that bracket."

If things go according to plan for the KZN-based club, it will be their first top-eight finish since the 2008-09 season.
