Golden Arrows coach Clinton Larsen admits that his team deployed an ultra-defensive strategy in the goalless draw against Mamelodi Sundowns.
Larsen approached the match looking to catch the high-flying Brazilians on the counter-attack at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday.
The tactician applauded his players for executing the gameplan after Sundowns launched a barrage of attack throughout the match.
"I don't think we had enough buses to park. We tried to find as many buses as we could. Every point against any team in this league is precious; it makes absolutely no difference that it was Sundowns," Larsen told KickOff.
"I thought the team executed the gameplan very well. We wanted to neutralise them on the sides; their fullbacks like going forward, but I don't think they got any crosses.
"Andile Fikizolo and Deon Hotto did a great job taking care of that. Musa Bilankulu brought a lot of stability to our defence. He has experience and organizational skills."
