Lamola: I'm hungry to work for this team

Cape Town - New Golden Arrows striker Lerato Lamola intends to prove his worth to the team after joining from Bloemfontein Celtic.

Lamola has reunited with coach Clinton Larsen after they worked together for two seasons at Siwelele.

Under Larsen, Lamola will look to regain his form from the 2014/15 campaign where he bagged 13 goals. Arrows also poached Vuyani Ntanga and Wayde Jooste from Celtic.

"With what I have seen with the team's attack is I need to work hard on scoring goals," Lamola told KickOff.

"For sure this team was doing well last season and they were unfortunate that they didn't finish in the top eight.

"But for me I'm hungry, hungry to work for this team. It is the new family for me. If someone wanted you in your family and adopts you as the child, like the mother of this team, what I can do is to be disciplined and work hard for him and get the winning mentality."

Arrows will face Orlando Pirates in their season opener at the Orlando Stadium on Wednesday.

Kick-off is at 19:30.
