Cape Town - Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder Lyle Lakay has expressed an eagerness to reunite with coach Gavin Hunt at Bidvest Wits.

The Students are reportedly interested in signing the 25-year-old, who worked with Hunt during their time together at SuperSport United.

Hunt is keen to bolster his squad after Wits finished runners-up in the Premiership to Mamelodi Sundowns last season.

"What I can say is that coach Hunt is very experienced and it would be nice working with him again," Lakay told KickOff.

"This is not to say that I'm not enjoying my time at Celtic, I do, but Hunt is a very ambitious and successful coach. He sets high standards and the prospect of working with him again makes me very excited.

"So I'm very happy about the interest that Wits and the coach is showing in me, but I have to sit down with my agent and decide the way forward."
