Cape Town - Golden Arrows coach Steve Komphela says he will work on improving set-pieces on the training ground after his side conceded from a corner in Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Kaizer Chiefs.
Komphela was close to securing a victory over his old employers following Nduduzo Sibiya's first-half strike, however, Kgotso Moleko's header from a George Maluleka corner meant the spoils were shared.
Arrows, who are battling hard for a top eight spot but are currently in ninth, next take on Free State Stars in the Premiership on Sunday at the Princess Magogo Stadium in Durban.
He told SuperSport: "It's a tactical game. We had a few problems we needed to sort out. We had a few things.
"One, as soon as their strikers opened wide, whether it was Zuma or Parker, we needed to control the midfield joining. As soon as they stretch the defence, the two midfielders in Dax and Zulu would join and they kept making dissecting runs behind our defence.
"We needed to manage that. And we managed it in a way that we were comfortable. But tactical matches can sometimes be boring and very frustrating.
"Up until they scored, I didn't even see how it happened. But if you find Moleko there with space in the box, it shows that we were not well set.
"We need to go back on set plays. For whatever reason, we just concede on set plays. A point at FNB we are happy. We'll just add on the points we have and see how far we can go.
"It wasn't easy. We needed to match up to the diamond shape from Chiefs. Because if you don't match it, they will kill you. It's frustrating because they love the momentum and their game is balanced.
"When they attack, they have bodies in the box and when you want to go on a transitional encounter, you can't hit them because they are also balanced. A nice tactical game, so we needed to break the stalemate. I'm happy with it. We'll go back and see how best we can deal with these set plays."
