Komphela has striker expectations

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela believes the strike trio of Edward Manqele, Bongani Ndulula and Siphelele Mthembu need to work harder to get into the first team.

The three strikers have fallen out of favour with the technical team and have been playing in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge.

Having made 23 combined appearances, the strikers have only mustered two goals between them this season.

"We all know Edward is a good striker but he was out injured and now he is working hard on his fitness," Komphela told Soccer Laduma.

"You know him and Drogba (Ndulula) have been playing in the MDC and Camaldine has been playing mainly in the main team and he has been doing well.

"We have other strikers like Mthembu as well and they are all our strikers who we can use when we need them."
