George Lebese has a back problem, William Twala a calf concern, Enocent Mkhabela an abdominal issue, Tsepo Masilela a groin injury and Itumeleng Khune a back ailment.
In addition, Willard Katsande is absent due to his commitments with Zimbabwe at the AFCON in Gabon, where he will no doubt be hoping to help his side progress out of what it a tough group alongside Algeria, Tunisia and Senegal.
Four other players are training with English second-tier outfit Fulham in what Chiefs are describing as an 'experimental visit'. Emmanuel Letlotlo, Lorenzo Gordinho, Siyanda Ngezana and Ryan Moon will only return on January 12.
