Komphela gearing up for TKO final

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela is unconcerned by the mounting apprehension in the build up to their Telkom Knockout final showdown against Mamelodi Sundowns.

The clash between the Absa Premiership powerhouses is set to take place on December 16, although the venue is yet to be confirmed.

Komphela will be looking to avoid back-to-back cup final losses after seeing his side suffer a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Ajax Cape Town in the MTN8 final at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

Amakhosi will play only one match against Maritzburg United on November 21 prior to the cup final.

"Every time is a perfect time. If you want to be doing well whether in the league or in the cups that you play in you have to keep ready at all times," Komphela told Soccer Laduma.

"We know we will play only one game before the TKO finals but what is important is what we will be doing between now and that time.

"We have players in different national teams who will be active so the rest of the players should also be active until that day comes."
