Komphela aims to bolster Chiefs squad

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela has revealed he will be looking to bring in some news faces at Naturena in the Premiership off-season.

With nothing to show for the current campaign, Komphela has vowed that Amakhosi will come back stronger next season.

Chiefs failed to defend their Premiership title as Mamelodi Sundowns went on to be crowned champions.

The Soweto giants lost both the MTN8 and Telkom Knockout finals and could miss out on a top-three finish.

"I am the first one to agree that we didn't do very well this season but we know what we are supposed to do. We have to build a strong team and compete for trophies," Komphela told Soccer Laduma.

"We know even Sundowns who have won the title will also strengthen their squad and that's how it should be for us to do as much as we are expected next season."
