Klate: This race tougher than most

Cape Town - Veteran Wits winger Daine Klate believes that the bar has been set higher than usual in this season's Premiership title race.

Despite an impressive record of 51 points from 24 games, Wits are four points behind log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

Klate has played a pivotal role for Wits in the current campaign, having contributed 12 goals and 11 assists.

"I've always said that it's no use me coming here to Wits and telling the guys what to do and how to do it, it's about me showing them on the pitch, and I've been fortunate enough to be having a good season," Klate told KickOff.

"There's no better way than to be leading by example, so I'm really happy with what I've contributed so far."

The university club will next take on Free State Stars at the Bidvest Stadium on Saturday.

Kick-off is at 20:15.
