Klate doubtful for Tuks clash

Cape Town - Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt reveals that he might have to field a team without Daine Klate and James Keene against the University of Pretoria.

According to KickOff, Klate missed Wits CAF Confederation Cup trip to Seychelles to take on Lightstars FC in a game which the Students won 3-0.

Meanwhile, confirmed that Keene is dealing with a knee injury and will have fitness test in order to find out the striker’s fate.

“Keene is battling with a knee [injury], I don’t know whether he’s fit enough for this weekend. Daine looks like he could be out too – we’ll have to see,” Hunt said.

“Nazeer is training but he hasn’t played for three-four weeks; Buhle is back from his red card suspension so we gave him game-time in Seychelles. We’re running a bit thin at the moment.”

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
