Cape Town - Chippa United veteran winger Daine Klate says the Chilli Boys poor start to the Absa Premiership season is no reason to panic as it is taking time for the new players to gel.
Chippa brought in 10 new players to their squad ahead of 2018/19 and it appears it is taking time for coach Dan Malesela to knit the team together into an effective unit.
The outfit from Durban have recorded two draws and one win in their opening three matches in the league, and they may feel some pressure to get a result against resurgent SuperSport United on 29 August.
Klate told KickOff website: "Obviously it's been a tough start, but I don't think it's a surprise. I think it's a relatively new team that has been assembled.
"We have to get the rhythm and flow going a little bit in the team. We have a lovely bunch of guys and once we start getting the momentum and rhythm into our play, we can do fairly well.
"We obviously can't get ahead of ourselves, but the top eight would be first prize for the team this season."
