Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune has extended his condolences to the victims of the recent tragic Chapecoense plane crash in Colombia.
The accident claimed 71 lives of which many were players and staff from Brazilian Serie A outfit, Chapecoense. There were six survivors although most of them were seriously injured.
The tragedy has sent shock waves throughout the world with those in the football fraternity in particular expressing solidarity with the Big Green during this time of mourning.
Khune has added his voice to those who have sent messages of condolence. He said on his official Twitter account: "A very sad day for football. My thoughts and prayers are with all involved in this tragedy. Força Chapecoense."
Meanwhile, the 29-year-old was injured in Chiefs' 1-1 draw with Cape Town City and the club are yet to reveal the length of time he may be ruled out for.
