Cape Town - Orlando Pirates boss Irvin Khoza says a number of factors has to carefully be considered with regards to the selection of the new Buccaneers coach.
The Iron Duke revealed that a shortlist of coaches has been drafted to takeover from interim boss Augusto Palacios but highlighted that the task of finding a suitable replacement isn't as easy as it seems.
"It’s not easy," he told the City Press.
"When you employ a coach for Orlando Pirates, he must be a perfect fit; the coach must immediately gel with players.
"And we have managed to narrow the list down to six candidates... two locals and four foreigners.
"Some have impressive CVs, but when you sit down with them you notice the language barrier.
"I think to myself, ‘If I struggle to follow what he is trying to say, what about the players? Will they be able to follow his instructions?
"You need a coach who understands each and every player, how to utilise them and how to get the best out of them," he concluded.
The Buccaneers return to action on Wednesday against Platinum Stars as the Absa Premiership returns.
Kick-off is at 19:30.
