Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns captain Hlompho Kekana says he's inspired by what Wits winger Daine Klate has achieved in his career.
Klate is currently the PSL's most decorated player, having been part of six league title-winning teams while also picking up winners' medals from seven major cup finals.
Kekana is not that far behind Klate with four league titles to his credit, with two of those coming alongside Klate while together at SuperSport United.
The Masandawana midfielder also has a couple of domestic cup winners' medals under his belt, and was part of the Sundowns side that won the 2016 CAF Champions League.
However, he remains hungry for more success.
"As a player, it’s always nice to win trophies; you can ask Daine Klate about that – he knows about winning every trophy in the PSL," Kekana told KickOff website.
"For me, I would love to be like Daine by winning every trophy, and like any player who wants to keep on winning trophies.
"With a team like Mamelodi Sundowns, the expectations are always high and we want to win every match we play, so it would be nice for me to keep that hunger and desire to win."
The Bafana Bafana midfield general still feels he still has plenty of gas in the tank and expects to keep going strong for some time before hanging up his boots.
"I still feel good at Sundowns. I’m 32 now, so I think I’m still too young to be thinking about retirement," Kekana said.
"I'm still enjoying my football, I'm still enjoying the craziness of the players and I'm still enjoying the opportunity to be leading them as a captain."
