Sundowns became South African champions after they defeated struggling Ajax Cape Town this past weekend.
The win against the Urban Warriors ended an exhausting schedule of games both domestically and in the African Champions League for the Pitso Mosimane-coached outfit.
As such, Kekana praised the sacrifice by everyone involved at the Chloorkop-based team.
He told SuperSport after the victory over Ajax: "I think we should give credit to the whole team. The players, technical team, staff members and everyone who has been sacrificing a lot for the team."
In addition, the central midfield powerhouse also hailed Maritzburg United for giving them a stern challenge.
"I think we should give credit to teams who have been consistently giving us a challenge. If you saw on (the previous) Wednesday against Maritzburg United, a very, very good team, it was a match that prepared us to be where we were today so I should give credit to Fadlu (Davids) and the team."
