Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns captain Hlompho Kekana has signed an unspecified contract extension with his club, according to a report.
The 31-year-old's current deal runs up until the end of June this year, but according to Sundowns’ Media Officer, Thulani Thuswa, Kekana has agreed to a new deal.
"Yes, Pitso Mosimane did confirm that he has signed a new contract," Thuswa was quoted saying by Soccer Laduma website.
There has been speculation ongoing about the player's future for the last couple of months, with the Bafana Bafana playmaker linked to rival PSL clubs and even a move to China.
Kekana's goals and general play from midfield have been vital to the African Champions over the last few years.
The former Black Leopards, SuperSport United and Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder joined the Brazilians in 2011.
