Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns skipper Hlompho Kekana praised Bloemfontein Celtic goalkeeper Patrick Tignyemb after the Brazilians' 1-0 win on Wednesday.
Kekana walked away with the Man of the Match award after bossing the midfield for 'Downs, but also gave credit to the opposition goalkeeper for his heroics between the sticks.
"It was a tough game," Kekana said in his post-match interview.
"I've been working on this shooting throughout the week and I knew with Patrick Tignyemb you need to be very, very sober-minded to test him.
"I tried on so many occasions to unsettle him early in the game but he was very strong.
"He made good saves, but ja, he left me the three points. Thank you very much."
Themba Zwane eventually produced the strike that beat Tignyemb and earned the defending Premiership champions all three points.
