Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns captain Hlompho Kekana believes team-mate Percy Tau and Maritzburg United's Siphesihle Ndlovu deserve their nominations for the Absa Premiership Player of the Season.
The influential destroyer is one of the nominees alongside the talented pair in the race to try and win the best player award in the country.
Ndlovu showed his versatility for the Team of Choice as he played both left-back and central midfield during 2017/18. In addition, he contributed five goals as well as an impressive six assists.
Meanwhile, Tau scored 11 goals and will share the league's Golden Boot with Polokwane City's Rodney Ramagalela. The forward also managed an incredible 17 assists in all competitions.
As such, Kekana, who was a driving force once again for the Brazilians, told Kickoff: "For the other two guys that have have been nominated I wish them well.
"They stand a good chance of winning the award and I am sure why the panel knows why they nominated them.
"They deserve to be nominated. I am happy that I am competing with young players."
