Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Hlompho Kekana has dismissed claims he was set to join SuperSport United next season.
The 34-year-old Bafana international was rumoured to be on his way out of The Brazilians but has since signed a new four-year contract.
SuperSport CEO Stanley Matthews recently stated Kekana was offered for free to Matsatsantsa, but the player says otherwise.
He told KickOff: "Sundowns was the only team interested in my services.
"Sundowns has done so much for me and there was no thought of playing for another team. I have achieved a lot with Sundowns and there is no other team that serves the meaning of success to me except Sundowns.
"I have enjoyed success with this team. I am surrounded by good people in the team. The technical team, my team-mates, and even the kit managers. My connection with Sundowns is even deeper.
"I have enjoyed my stay at the club. Every day I am always looking forward to training. My connection with the club is deeper and more than football."
Kekana has previously played for Black Leopards, Bloemfontein Celtic as well as SuperSport, from 2008 to 2010.
