Cape Town - Bidvest Wits goalkeeper Darren Keet has declared defiantly that he will not be playing his football in the Absa Premiership next season.
Speaking after Wits 1-0 victory over Golden Arrows on Saturday, Keet said he was focused on a return to Europe after spending the early part of his career with KV Kortrijk in Belgium from 2011 until 2016.
He told reporters: "Definitely not playing in a different team in South Africa, my focus is on Europe.
"It didn't affect me because my focus is on doing my job, I was training normally like I'm going to get into the starting line-up, I'm always professional."
Speaking of whether he'd be taking part in the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt after being dropped in the last few matches, he added: "We have to see who makes it to the team. Of course, we want to make the country proud, we had a good qualification and we need to build up from that.
"Our opening game will be key to win so we can finish in the top two in our group.
"I'm not going to use the tournament to advertise myself, it's all about Bafana Bafana. We need to make the country proud."
