Cape Town - James Keene has confirmed that he will leave Bidvest Wits after their 1-0 loss to Platinum Stars in their final game of the season on Saturday.
Having won the Absa Premiership last year, Wits endured a difficult title defence, finishing a lowly 12th this time around.
Keene made 18 appearances in the 2017/18 campaign - just eight of which were starts. The 32-year-old forward netted just three times in his third Premiership season.
The Englishman took to Twitter after the Platinum Stars game to pen his farewell message to the Clever Boys, although he did not reveal his next move.
"To all my team-mates who have become true friends, who have been like family to me and shown me so much love since the day I arrived in the dressing room, it's been amazing.
"I've had a fantastic time with this group, with so many great memories and trophies, and I'm going to miss so many people at the club.
"I feel blessed to have played for such a great football club. I want to wish everybody at Bidvest Wits all the best for the future, and I'm looking forward to my next challenge!"
