Keene aware of pressure

Cape Town - Bidvest Wits forward James Keene believes that the pressure will only continue to mount on his shoulders.

According to KickOff, Keene has already netted five goals since joining the Students and says that all eyes are on him to continue scoring.

“I have enjoyed my stay here so far,” Keene says.

“Five goals in six starts is definitely a great start by any standards for any player who arrives at a new club,” he says.

The 30-year-old Englishman played all over Europe for the likes of Bournemouth, IF Elfsborg, Halmstad and North East United to name a few.

“I am aware that when you start this well you obviously bring a bit of pressure on your shoulders because there are now going to be expectations which I have to deal with because this is the nature of the job as a striker.

Wits will take on the University of Pretoria on Friday, February 19.

Kick-off is at 20:00.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
