Katsande: Chiefs spirits up

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs midfield enforcer Willard Katsande has revealed that the mood in the camp has improved significantly during the FIFA break.

Amakhosi have had their longest run without scoring after failing to find the back of the net in their last six games.

The three week recess offered coach Steve Komphela some welcome reprieve from a horrendous stretch that saw disgruntled fans calling for his axing.

"I think the international break has helped us a lot in regrouping and work on some team building," Willard told KickOff.

"I think the atmosphere is better now and the guys are looking a bit sharper and ready to get going on Tuesday.

"Our form for the past couple of games was not good, but the technical team has been working really hard to rectify all mistakes.

Chiefs will resume their campaign against Mpumalanga Black Aces at the Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday evening.
