Katsande aware of Sundowns threat

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Willard Katsande insists the side will be going "all out" to avoid a second cup final defeat when they face Mamelodi Sundowns later this month.

AmaKhosi conceded their MTN8 crown after going down to Ajax Cape Town in the first finale of the 2015/16 season, but have a chance at redemption as they face the Brazilians for Telkom Knockout glory on 16 December.

And while Zimbabwe international Katsande is wary of the threat posed by Sundowns, he remains confident Chiefs have what it takes to emerge triumphant at the Moses Mabhida Stadium to give their fans an early Christmas present.

"It will be a great final. These are two teams who play great football and have talented players," he told Soccer Laduma.

"We have reached our second final and, after losing in the MTN8, we want to go all out and win this one.

"It won't be easy as Sundowns are a very good team, but to be the best you have to beat the best, so we are prepared for that."

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
