Cape Town - AmaZulu forward Ovidy Karuru is expecting a tough KwaZulu-Natal derby when Usuthu travel to Maritzburg United on Friday, despite the Team of Choice languishing at the bottom of the Absa Premiership table.
Maritzburg are currently rooted to the foot of the log standings and find themselves six points from safety with only nine games of the season remaining.
However, Karuru feels a derby game brings out something different in the players and is expecting the players from their local rivals to be fired in front of their own supporters.
Karuru said on Amazulu's website: "It is not going to be easy, considering they are bottom of the log, that's what makes them dangerous.
"They will come there blazing, they really need the points. There fans always get behind them and that makes a big difference.
"We have prepared well, and we are going there for a win."
The match will kick off at 20:00 from the Harry Gwala Stadium.
