Karuru: AmaZulu have to keep working hard

Cape Town - AmaZulu forward Ovidy Karuru says they will look to build on their performance against Kaizer Chiefs even though they fell to a defeat against the Amakhosi.

Usuthu were a touch unlucky as they fell to a 2-0 defeat against the Soweto giants on Tuesday in what was coach Jozef Vukusic's first game in charge of the KZN club.

AmaZulu will look to get their first victory of the season when they play SuperSport United away from home on Saturday.

Karuru said in quotes posted on AmaZulu's website: "Considering the fact that it was the first game for coach Vukusic, I think we were quite decent in terms of playing according to what the coach wanted.

"It's unfortunate that luck was just not our side that day, but he just wants everyone to continue working hard as we all have been in training."

While Usuthu sit in last place on the PSL table with only two points on the board from their first six games, Karuru feels one victory could be just what the team needs to go a winning run.

Karuru continued: "It's never too early or too late to pick up points in my opinion, a win against SuperSport will be a huge confidence boost to the team and I'm sure going forward we will sustain the momentum."
