Kambole backed to get double-figures for Kaizer Chiefs

Cape Town - Former Zambia and Premiership star Clifford Mulenga believes countryman Lazarous Kambole can score 10 to 15 goals a season for Kaizer Chiefs.

Kambole's move to join the Glamour Boys from Zesco United is reportedly almost concluded, with big things expected of the forward.

Chiefs appear to need extra ammo in attack with Leonardo Castro transfer-listed whereas Ryan Moon was asked to collect his coat and depart through the exit doors.

In addition, the side's leading Premiership scorer was Khama Billiat who managed just five in total.

As such, the 25-year-old will be carrying a heavy load in 2019/20. Nonetheless, Mulenga says Kambole can handle the pressure.

He told KickOff: "I think he will do very well. With his high work-rate and speed, he will come right.

"A lot of goals, a striker who works hard for the team. He's the kind of player who is down to earth and always wants to win and loves to score goals.

"If he works as hard as he does he can manage between 10 to 15 goals. Kaizer Chiefs is a team that will always create chances and he's the kind of striker who likes being in the box.

"He's a Zambian national team player. He's playing for one of Zambia's biggest clubs and they play in CAF competition every year so he's definitely used to pressure.

"I'm sure he will handle the pressure of playing for Kaizer Chiefs."
