Kaizer Chiefs injury update

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs could be without defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele for Saturday's Telkom Knockout Last-16 clash with Maritzburg United.

Mphahlele is Amakhosi's only significant injury concern from the team's first-team regulars.

The Soweto giants have confirmed that the 26-year-old is still recovering from an ankle injury and may not be ready to face the Team of Choice.

Meanwhile, midfielder George Maluleka is suffering from a hamstring injury and will work on his recovery during his two-game suspension for the red card he picked up against Ajax Cape Town.

Back-up goalkeeper, Luthando Sixhaso and striker Ryan Moon, are both recovering well after undergoing knee surgery recently.

In addition, centre-midfielder Enocent Mkhabela and Eric Mathoho have resumed full training. Mkhabela has overcome a minor knock, while Mathoho returns to the fold after a family bereavement.
