Jonevret welcomes Wits and 'Downs challenge

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates head coach Kjell Jonevret admits that he is excited to see how his charges fare against Bidvest Wits and Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Buccaneers face a tough test this week as they clash against two teams vying for the Absa Premiership title.

On Thursday evening Wits (kick off is at 19:30) welcome Pirates to the Bidvest Stadium and three days later the Sowetan giants play host to current PSL holders Sundowns.

"Now we are going to play the two best teams in the league (Wits and Sundowns) so I think we are going to be a bit of an underdog in these games," said Jonevret as quoted by KickOff website.

"It’s a test for us to see how it is to play the best teams again.

"We’ve played (Kaizer) Chiefs and we’ve played SuperSport (United) directly when I arrived here.

"But after that we have six to eight games against teams that are around us.

"So, I’m looking forward in seeing how we manage to play two top teams in one week - I should be fine to watch."
