Jonevret permit approved, backed to start well against City

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates have backed new head coach Kjell Jonevret to start well in his first game in charge against Polokwane City at Orlando Stadium on Saturday.

Kick off is at 15:30.

Jonevret was recently appointed on a three-year deal and takes over from interim coach Augusto Palacios.

The Sea Robbers are currently struggling in the league and occupy 10th spot in the Premiership standings.

The Swedish coach has been granted his work permit by the Department of Home Affairs, and will get his first taste of action when Pirates take on Rise and Shine.

Meanwhile, Thandi Merafe, Bucs' media officer, has given her full backing to the 54-year-old.

"Hitting the ground running! Kjell Jonevret will take the reins vs Polokwane City at Orlando Stadium this weekend. Temporary work permit has been approved," she said.
