Cape Town - Platinum Stars coach Cavin Johnson has backed midfielder Masibusane Zongo to regain the form that earned him widespread plaudits at the start of his senior career.
The 25-year-old has seemingly revived his career at Dikwena this season, following disappointing stints at Blackburn Rovers and Chippa United.
Off-the-field incidents have hampered his progress in the past, and Johnson is working on ensuring those problems don't come back to haunt the player.
"If you want to be entertained and enjoy the game then he has to the learn discipline, but more necessarily mental discipline," Johnson told Soccer Laduma.
"We at Platinum Stars have taken it upon ourselves to help him with that and once he overcomes that then we will see the Zongo of a few years back.
"We are working daily with him and things will be fine," he concluded.
Zongo started his career at SuperSport United, and spent time on loan with Vasco da Gama and Bidvest Wits before signing for Blackburn Rovers in 2012.
He subsequently signed for Chippa United in 2013 and stayed at the club for two seasons prior to signing for Platinum Stars in 2015.
