Jele: We did our part

Cape Town - Happy Jele hopes other PSL clubs get the chance to represent the country in future CAF competitions as Orlando Pirates did.

The Sea Robbers went all the way to the final of the CAF Confederation Cup only to lose 2-1 on aggregate to Etoile du Sahel.

In 2013 Pirates had the chance to claim glory in the CAF Champions League but lost out to a superior Al-Ahly.

According to KickOff, Jele says that the Buccaneers did their part despite returning to South Africa without the trophy.

“I won't talk about the other four teams, but all I can say is we did our part,” he says.

“We hope that when they get their chance they will represent the country well.”

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
