Jele set for new deal but Mobara's fate uncertain

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates captain Happy Jele will reportedly be handed a new one year deal though the club is undecided on the future of Abbubaker Mobara.

Jele was an important component of Pirates' back four as he transitioned seamlessly from right back to central defence.

He made 42 appearances in all competitions for the Sea Robbers and it seems he will be rewarded for his efforts with a new contract.

Bucs will no doubt be hoping to end their trophy drought in 2018/19 which extends back five years.

Meanwhile, the future of Mobara is less clear as his deal is also coming to an end.

The player made just five appearances in the previous campaign.

A source told KickOff: "The club is still undecided about Mobara. There has been inquiries from other clubs in the PSL."
