Jele: I'm over horror injury

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates defender Happy Jele insists the career-threatening injury he suffered four years ago does not have any bearing on his current form.

The South Africa international tore anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments in his knee in November 2011 and spent over a year in the infirmary after undergoing surgery.

Jele, however, has struggled to regain his previous best form, but he's adamant the injury does not plague him at all, neither physically nor mentally.

"It was a very bad injury, but I forgot about it a long time ago and concentrated on my game," Jele told Soccer Laduma.

"You know injuries happen in football, but I don't think it has anything to do with my form.

"I actually think I have been doing well, looking at the games I have played after coming back from that injury."
