Cape Town - Orlando Pirates defender Happy Jele is hoping to end his career at the club he has called home for 12 years.
The 31-year-old has struggled for playing time this season, with Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic relying largely on Ntsikelelo Nyauza and Gladwin Shitolo in the heart of defence.
Jele has endured a challenging campaign both on and off the pitch, having been arrested for driving at 223km/h in September last year.
However, he has been more involved on the pitch in recent weeks, which will have come as a delight to him.
Speaking to KickOff website, Jele made it clear that there is nowhere he would rather be than at Mayfair.
"Firstly I started playing for Pirates at a young age," he said.
"They have been my family and if it happens that I finish my career with Orlando Pirates, then it would be great."
However, there are no guarantees in football and Jele is aware that his fate lies in the hands of his employers.
"It's for the team to decide, but I am loving it and I enjoy playing for Orlando Pirates. So we will see what happens," he added.
