Jali set to start rare second match in a row for Sundowns

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Andile Jali seems likely to start the Premiership clash against Bloemfontein Celtic on Wednesday as Rivaldo Coetzee is out with an ankle injury.

Jali made a rare start in last weekend's 4-0 win over Otoho d'Oyo in the CAF Champions League and performed very well for the Brazilians.

The player's time at Chloorkop has been marred by injuries and personal problems off the pitch which has seen him drop down the pecking order in terms of getting regular playing time.

Nonetheless, 2019/20 could be the season he comes good for the 2016 African champions with news emerging that Coetzee - who has been used with success in midfield at times by coach Pitso Mosimane - is out with an ankle concern.

The reigning PSL champions currently have a lengthy injury list which includes Cotezee, Phakamani Mahlambi (ankle), Thapelo Morena (groin), Oupa Manyisa (acute tonsillitis), Anthony Laffor (knee) and Keletso Makgalwa (ankle).

Wednesday's clash against Siwelele is set to get underway from 19:30 at the Dr. Petrus Molemela Stadium in Bloemfontein.
