Cape Town - Goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane's agent Jazzman Mahlakgane says he is not concerned his player has joined supposedly financially-troubled Bloemfontein Celtic.
Last season season Celtic were bereft with financial problems so much so that the players went on numerous strikes during the campaign due to unpaid wages.
The situation become so toxic at Siwelele that long-time goalkeeper Tapuwa Kapini was forced out of the club as he was allegedly the ring-master for some of the strike action.
Nonetheless, it seems that some form of stability has been arranged in the Free State with a raft of new signings arriving including Mabokgwane, who was released by Orlando Pirates.
Mahlakgane told KickOff: "Yes I'm happy for Jackson. He has just signed up a two-year contract with Celtic, with an option.
"You know what, I think if you are standing outside the window it's easy to judge everything that's inside. I've got players there they are earning their salary every month. I've got [Given] Mashikinya and [Lucky] Baloyi.
"I have never had issues every month where they phone me and say they didn't get paid. So that on its own, I cannot be joining the chorus because I'm not part of the Celtic management.
"But all I know is that I have got two players there that religiously every month they got their salaries. And they got their signing on fees. So, I've got no reason to start getting involved in that chorus.
"All I did was give them the proposal that the player wanted. We negotiated like any other negotiations. We got to a point where we both agreed on what we think. It worked for the player, it worked for the team, we signed. That's what's important now."
