Cape Town - Former Kaizer Chiefs star Jabu Mahlangu has advised Thembinkosi Lorch to move to Europe if an offer comes in.
The reigning PSL Footballer of the Season is the hottest commodity in South African football at the moment and it appears Orlando Pirates are missing his presence as he continues his come-back from injury.
The attacking midfielder also delivered the goods when he played for Bafana Bafana at the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt. He scored a memorable winner against the hosts in the last-16.
Speaking to KickOff, Mahlangu, who spent time in Europe in his playing career for SV Mattersburg and Osters, said: "Sometimes we can say it's too early, but sometimes opportunity comes once. He has done well, and he has proven his worth in South African football.
"Even in the Carling Black Label - I know it was a pre-season [fixture], but he showed his class again with that fantastic goal he scored against Kaizer Chiefs.
"I think, personally, I'd say if there is a good offer for him and for the club - because he must respect that he still has a contract with Orlando Pirates - let him go.
"He needs to go while he still can, because you don't know if you delay then you get an injury and you're no longer available to play, then it becomes a problem.
"So, I think it is the right time for him to go and also make his money, and also come back and help Bafana Bafana with that experience."
