Isaacs backs Rivaldo for Sundowns switch

Cape Town - Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Dominic Isaacs believes Ajax Cape Town center-back Rivaldo Coetzee would flourish under coach Pitso Mosimane at Mamelodi Sundowns.

Coetzee has been a key member in the Urban Warriors team, since making his professional debut with the club three seasons ago.

Issacs says the Bafana Bafana star should move to Chloorkop in order to take his football career to the next level, just like his former Ajax team-mate Keegan Dolly.

"I think that his next step for his career should be leaving Ajax for a bigger team. He has proven himself at Ajax and he should follow in the footsteps of Dolly, who is doing so well and winning trophies at Sundowns," Isaacs told Goal website.

"For me, he should go to a team where he will be appreciated and will succeed. Dolly got the love and appreciation from Pitso (Mosimane) at Sundowns that is why he hit the ground running and succeeded. I think the same can happen with Rivaldo at Sundowns.

"Chiefs are at the moment in turmoil for him to go there and things might go wrong for him. So, I think he would grow as player when playing next to somebody like Thabo Nthethe, who is a good leader and a good professional, but I think the boy is no longer getting challenges at Ajax," Isaacs concluded.
