Cape Town - SuperSport United coach Gordon Igesund blasted his team's defensive frailties after their 4-1 hammering at the hands of Polokwane City.
The catalyst for City, Thobani Mncwango put four goals past Matsatsantsa at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.
Matsatsantsa have struggled consistency this season after conceding 18 goals in 14 games in the league.
"It was a very bad day for us in the office, we played very badly. We got caught out, the defence with the exception of Clayton Daniels, he was winning balls," Igesund told KickOff.
"But we got caught out standing on the wrong side of people. We got caught out in the wrong areas, we were not quick enough to the ball.
"We were not closing down, our midfield didn't help either, we were second to the ball. It was just a bad day in the office and I was very unhappy with the performance.
"That was our first lost in the last seven games I think. We won our last three in a row and drawn three. So it was one of those days in the office."
Matsatsantsa will next face log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday.
