Cape Town - Newly appointed Highlands Park head coach Gordon Igesund reveals that he will hold onto the current technical team.
Sport24 reported that the Johannesburg outfit confirmed that the former SuperSport United mentor has been appointed as coach with immediate effect.
Igesund replaced Freese, who guided Highlands to the Premiership after being promoted from the National First Division.
Highlands now immediately switch their focus to Friday night when they host Chippa United in a Telkom Knockout encounter.
With that in mind, Igesund confirms that he will make no changes in his backroom staff despite the club stating that he can bring whomever he wishes to work alongside him.
"When we had a meeting with directors last night they told me to come up with my own technical team if I needed to, or if I had names, which I thought about, but I will work with the same technical team," as quoted by Soccer Laduma.
"Thierry is going to remain my assistant coach. I have known Thierry for a long time.
"We have the physical trainer and the goalkeeper coach already at the team but we have to work together for the sake of the team," Igesund concluded.
The Highlands-Chippa fixture is set for an 20:00 kick-off.
