Cape Town - Legendary former Orlando Pirates coach Gordon Igesund has urged the Buccaneers to start winning games immediately, warning of the threat of Wits.
Igesund claimed that he sees potential in Milutin Sredojevic's side, but that they will need to gel and improve their finishing quickly due to the resurgent form of Gavin Hunt's charges.
Wits currently top the Premiership with 12 points from five matches, with the Buccaneers sitting five points behind in fourth.
"They are still trying to find the right combinations as they are in a rebuilding phase. It is also still early days. They have played only five games," Igesund told Goal website.
"They are struggling in front of goal thus far. They are able to create goal-scoring opportunities, but finishing has let them down.
"I believe that once they have found their strongest combinations and fixed their scoring problem, they will start winning matches again."
However, Igesund warned: "Having said that, Pirates should start winning games now because there are teams like Wits which began the season well. Wits are playing with a lot of confidence and they know how to win it (the league title)."
The Clever Boys struggled for form in 2017/18, finishing 13th in the league during a season in which they were defending their title.
However, this season has seen them recapture some of the magic of 2016/17.
