'If Pitso Mosimane is unhappy, he can leave Sundowns'

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is reportedly considering resigning from the club over reports a foreign technical director is to be hired.

Mosimane has apparently fallen out with a number of officials at Chloorkop over some requests he and his technical team have made which have not been honoured.

One of the claims is that the mentor has previously requested the club arrange for shorter flight times when they are playing in Africa, however, it is said that he is not getting his requests granted.

According to a Sunday World report, the 55-year-old is now contemplating his future with the Brazilians after it emerged a European technical director is set to be appointed.

If this scenario occurs, it would likely mean that Mosimane's direct line to club owner Patrice Motsepe would be discontinued and he'd have to report to the TD.

A source told the publication: "After winning so many trophies for the club, he is asking himself why then bring a technical director because he has already demonstrated that he had what it takes to win the trophies without being supervised by some European.

"It means that Pitso would no longer have [a] direct line to the president. He is now going to report directly to this man. This is an utmost disrespect you can show to somebody who won you so many trophies."

Meanwhile, another official with the Brazilians who is aligned against the Downs mentor says he can leave if he is not happy with the circumstances of his position.

The second source said: "He (the foreign TD) was hosted by the [club] president in Sandton and spent a week or so before he left the country. He will be back in August to start his job. Pitso thinks he is God and needs not to be monitored. This is a good move. If he is not happy, he can leave.

"He is the one who leaked the story because he wants to get the Bafana Bafana job using the club. We are not going to entertain him."
